For 50 years, US Youth Soccer ODP has been the premier talent identification and development program across the United States.
About ODP
ODP identifies and provides opportunities for high-potential players, facilitates their development, exposes them to the next level of their chosen pathway, and motivates their pursuit of excellence.
ODP provides a supplemental development opportunity for the top club soccer players in the country. Players are evaluated by their state association, train in a state environment with licensed coaches, and compete against the strongest players in their age group from other states and regions in front of college and professional scouts.
The ODP pathway
Every player enters the same way — through a local state association — and earns their place at each stage.
Stage 01
State Team
Players try out for their state ODP team and train with it throughout the year.
Stage 02
Summer ID Camps
State players go to ODP Summer ID Camps, where regional coaches evaluate them and name a roster for each of the four regions.
Stage 03
Interregionals
The four regional teams — East, Midwest, South and West — play each other at the Interregional, in front of national coaches, scouts and college staff.
Stage 04
National Select Team
National coaches and scouts draw on all four regional teams to form a National Select Team, which travels for international competition.
