General Team and State Association Information

2022 US Youth Soccer Midwest Regional Championships Team Info Packet

The Team Info Packet contains very important information about the 2022 Midwest Regional Championships. While is should be provided to all qualifying teams through your State Association Representative or Conference Manager, depending on how you qualified, it is also posted here for your convenience.

The Midwest Regional Championships is Stay to Play event. Hotel blocks were drawn for each team, per policy, by each State Association in the Midwest Region and the National League Conference Manager. Those blocks will be allocated to each team either by their State Association Representative or the National League Conference Manager, depending upon how the team qualified for the event.

For conference representatives, hotel information is sent to all qualified teams once the conference reps are determined at the end of the spring season. The hotel information will be sent to you by the travel company at that time and the specific hotel/s are selected for you. Following completion of all of the Midwest State Cups, the final league standings determine the conference reps. These blocks will be issued by the National League around June 13-14.

Teams who fail to utilize the selected rooms shall be subject to a fine of $1,000 per team not using said rooms. Those teams may also lose eligibility to participate in the competition.

Local Area Teams: In accordance with the Midwest Regional Championships Rules & Policies, teams wishing to commute in order to waive the required event housing may do so only if they qualify for the following exemption. The majority of their Midwest Regional Championships roster must reside within 100 miles of the venue site. They must apply for the commute housing waiver through their State Association representative.

Midwest TOPSoccer Showcase Event

For those teams who stay through Monday and especially those who advance to semi-finals matches on Tuesday, June 28, please be aware that we are hosting the Midwest TOPSoccer Showcase on your day of rest - Monday, June 27. TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a community-based training and team program for youth athletes with disabilities.

The Midwest Regional Championship referees are volunteering their time to serve as the buddies to assist the TOPSoccer athletes. We are asking all semi-finalist teams to show up to help cheer on the TOPSoccer athletes and create a championship environment for them - the most impactful timeframe would be 1:30pm-3:30pm. One coach of a 2018 Midwest Regional Championships finalist team, who had just lost in a tough championship match, stated on awards stage that bringing his team to the TOPSoccer Showcase was the highlight of the team's experience that week.

Here is a highlight video from our inaugural Midwest TOPSoccer Showcase in 2018 at Grand Park:

Additionally, if any of the siblings of your players have disabilities, they are welcome to participate. Please pass this along to your families. We have created a Google form for registration that includes a medical release and image waiver. This would be the easiest way for the families to register. Link for sign up >>

All Star Action Photography will be the official photographer for the event. Coaches or managers need to register at the website below to schedule a time for a team picture.
