2022 US Youth Soccer Far West Regional Championships Comes to a Close in Boise, Idaho

BOISE, ID (June 26, 2022) – More than 220 teams competed at the 2022 US Youth Soccer Far West Regional Championships at the Simplot Sports Complex in Boise, Idaho, this week.
Thousands of players, parents and college coaches were on hand as the teams competed for a spot at the US Youth Soccer National Championships at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, later this summer.
Utah led the field with four teams being crowned 2022 Far West Regional champions, while California-South, Hawaii, and Nevada each had two. Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, and Washington all finished with one regional champion.

Notes on some of the Far West Regional Champions:
13U Girls
The Arizona Soccer Club (AZ) made history on Sunday by capturing its first ever regional championship, defeating Las Vegas Surf (NV) 2-1 in the final. The Arizona Soccer Club scored 16 goals throughout the tournament.
14U Boys
Las Vegas Diversity FC (NV) secured the 14U Boys Far West Regional Championship with a 3-1 win over Westside Timbers (OR). During the last three games, Diversity FC scored nine goals while allowing only three.
15U Girls
Plenty of goals were scored in the 15U Girl’s finals, which proved to be one of the most competitive at the Far West Regional Championships. Wasatch SC (UT) ultimately came out victorious, earning a 4-3 win over Idaho Rush Soccer Club (ID).
16U Boys
Sparta United (UT) earned the 16U Boys title with a 3-1 win over Three Rivers Soccer Club (WA). The Utah squad tallied 20 goals during the tournament and only allowed seven.
17U Boys
The Hawaii Rush 05B (HI) relied on a strong offensive performance during the knockout stages to claim the 17U Boys regional championship. The Hawaiin side secured first place with a 3-0 win over United PDX (OR) on Sunday.
18U Girls
The battle for the 18U Girls regional championship title featured two teams from Utah squaring off on Saturday. The Utah Soccer Alliance USA Metro (UT) earned their spot to Nationals with a 3-1 victory over Utah County Soccer Club (UT).
19U Girls
Three Rivers Soccer Club (WA) claimed the sole regional championship for Washington with a 3-1 win over United PDX (OR). Three Rivers Soccer Club had some close games during the knockout stages but did what they needed in order to earn the regional championship title.
The US Youth Soccer National Championships consists of regional champions in the 13U-19U Boys and Girls age groups, as well as the National League qualifiers in the 14U-19U Boys and Girls age groups.
The US Youth Soccer National Championships will be held from July 19-24 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.
