Action Concludes and Winners Crowned at 2022 US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Championships in Murfreesboro, TN

MURFREESBORO, Tennessee (June 30, 2022) – More than 230 teams competed at the 2022 US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Championships at the Richard Siegel Soccer Complex and Stones River Rotary Soccer Park in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, this week.
Roughly 590 people were on hand as the teams competed for a spot at the US Youth Soccer National Championships at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, later this summer.
Florida led the field with five teams being crowned champions with South Texas close behind with three. North Texas and Tennessee finished with two, while North Carolina and Louisiana both had one.

John Sintic, head coach of Nashville United Soccer Academy 03 Maroon (TN), was proud of the determination that his team showed this weekend, earning a spot at the National Championships in Disney. NUSA picked up six wins and only allowed one goal over the weekend, highlighted by a dominating 5-0 a Florida team for the championship title. In their season so far, they haven’t lost a single game making their record 30-0, with only allowing the one goal in the final game.
“Once you get out of the state and into the region,” said Coach John Sintic “you get into some very, very good and experienced clubs that are extremely well-coached. Going through this tournament, you get to learn a lot of valuable lessons.”
NUSA player, Malachi Jones, also described what he and his team are looking to prove at the National Championships in Orlando, Florida later this summer.
“As we continue to play together,” said Malachi Jones, “we continue to play better and I think that showed out here today. We came out here and wanted it.”

13U Boys
Both Imperial Soccer Club 09 (STX) and ASMBF Miami Breakers FC 09 Black (FL), had a tough time keeping each other out of the box and into the net. 13U Girls
Both Solar Soccer Club 10 Grado (NTX) and Sting Soccer Club 09 Powell (NTX), had a tough time keeping each other out of the box and into the net. With the game tied at 1-1 at the 90-minute whistle, they went into double overtime to see who would come out on top. Solar had a hard-fought battle to take the championship title with their 2-1 win against Sting.
14U Boys
ASMBF Miami Breakers FC 08 Black (FL) came out hungry for a championship win. Miami’s defense kept their opponent, Germantown Legends 08 Black (TN), from scoring a single goal in the entire 90 minutes, Miami Breakers had a relatively easy 2-0 win regardless of the Tennesse heat and humidity.
14U Girls
ANBRY SABR Team Boca 08 White (FL) came out hungry for a championship win. With their opponent, Brandon Futbol Club 08 Premier (MS), not scoring a single goal in the entire 90 minutes, Team Boca had a relatively easy 1-0 win regardless of the Tennesse heat and surprise rain that hit during the second half.
15U Boys
BVB International Academy Texas 07 B Yellow (NTX) came out hungry for a championship win. With their opponent, ASTRP Tropical Soccer FC Prime: Elite 07 (FL), not scoring a single goal in the entire 90 minutes, BVB had a relatively easy 1-0 win regardless of the Tennesse heat and humidity.
15U Girls
FC Westlake 07 Elite (STX) came out hungry for a championship win. Westlake’s defense kept their opponent, Sting Louisiana 07 Robichaux (LA), from scoring a single goal in the entire 90 minutes. Westlake’s offense managed to hit the back of the net 3 times before the final whistle making it a relatively easy 3-0 win, regardless of the Tennesse heat and humidity.
16U Boys
Weston FC 06 Elite Reserves (FL) came out hungry for a championship win. Weston’s defense kept their opponent, Baton Rouge SC 06 Black (LA), from scoring a single goal in the entire 90 minutes, Miami Breakers had a relatively easy 2-0 win regardless of the Tennesse heat and surprise rain that hit during the second half.
16U Girls
Both Wilson Youth SA 06 Explosion (NC) and MS Futbol Club MS Rush United 06 Premier (MS), had a tough time keeping each other out of the box and into the net. With the ball going back and forth, Wilson Explosion had a hard-fought battle to take the championship title with their 3-2 win against MS Rush. 17U Boys
Inwood SC Texas Nemesis 05 (STX) went leg to leg with DKSC 05 Carrillo (NTX) as they went into the second half tied 1-1. They had a great battle in the second half, as both teams worked hard to keep each other from the goal. Nemesis’ offense was unstoppable and took it to the net to bring their team up 2-1 before the final whistle blew.
17U Girls
Both Lobos Rush 05 Premier (TN) and Gulf Coast Texans SC 05 (FL), had a tough time keeping each other out of the box and into the net. With the ball going back and forth, Lobos had a hard-fought battle to take the championship title with their 2-1 win against Gulf Coast.
18U Boys
Juventus Academy Miami Juventus-Zidane (FL) went leg to leg with Germantown Legends 04 Black NL (TN). They had a great battle in the second half, as both teams worked hard to keep each other from the goal. Unfortunately, Legends couldn’t hold Juventus’s offense as they took it to the net twice to bring their team up 3-1 before the final whistle blew.
18U Girls
Both ANBRY SABR Team Boca 04 White (FL) and Tennessee SC Murfreesboro 04 Showcase (TN), had a tough time keeping each other out of the box and into the net. With the ball going back and forth, Team Boca had a hard-fought battle to take the championship title with a last-minute goal, they managed to take the 1-0 win against the local team, Tennessee SC. 19U Boys
Nashville United Soccer Academy 03 Maroon (TN) came to dominate their opponent, ASSMF Strikers Miami FC Elite 03 (FL) for the championship title. NUSA’s defense only allowed one goal and their offense was unstoppable as they took it to the net five times to bring their team up 5-1 before the final whistle blew. 19U Girls
Baton Rouge SC 03 Black (LA) came out hungry for a championship win. Baton Rouge’s defense kept their opponent, Houston Dynamo Dash YSC Beaumont 03 (STX), from scoring a single goal in the entire 90 minutes. Baton Rouge had a relatively easy 2-0 win regardless of the Tennesse heat and humidity.
The US Youth Soccer National Championships consists of regional champions in the 13U-19U Boys and Girls age groups, as well as the National League qualifiers in the 14U-19U Boys and Girls age groups.
The US Youth Soccer National Championships will be held from July 19-24 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.
