PLANO, Texas (May 20, 2026) – US Youth Soccer has partnered with IberCup to fund the registration costs for 20 State Technical Leads to attend this year’s IberCup Convention, taking place December 16-18 in Estoril, Portugal.
As part of the convention’s programming, attendees will have access to on-field training demonstrations, classroom sessions, and keynote presentations led by experienced youth coaches, academy leaders, senior club directors, and former professional players, including Portuguese national team standout Nani.
“I think this is an opportunity for our coaches in the United States to receive an education abroad,” said US Youth Soccer CEO Tom Condone. “A lot of the development that they’re receiving is stateside, so to collaborate with IberCup for the convention and to put forth a number of world class speakers that our clubs, state associations, and coaches can learn from – I think it will be an excellent experience and we’re looking forward to the partnership.”
More than 1,000 attendees are expected to attend the convention.
“This is a unique opportunity to bring together leading experts in youth development in Estroil, creating a highly qualified environment where knowledge and experience can be shared at the highest level,” said Iber Cup President & Founder Filipe Rodrigues.
