PLANO, Texas (Sept. 15, 2026) – US Youth Soccer today announced Joel Dragan as its new Chief Executive Officer. USYS Board Chair Tina Rincon made the announcement.

Dragan most recently served as Chief Operating Officer for the organization after working for multiple state associations in a number of roles. Additionally, he played a vital part in the recently announced alignment between US Youth Soccer and the U.S. Soccer Federation.

“The Board of Directors is energized to move into this new era of our organization with Joel as our CEO. We believe his experience at the state and national level make him the ideal person to lead US Youth Soccer during this pivotal time,” said Rincon.

“We have been very pleased with the work Joel has done as COO, his leadership within the organization in addition to his work with U.S. Soccer highlight his connections and experience within the youth soccer landscape. Joel has ample experience as a state executive at multiple State Associations and understands the needs of our membership as well as the work that needs to be done to continue making the game more accessible for all players across the country.”

Dragan succeeds Tom Condone in the role as he transitions to a new role at the U.S. Soccer Federation, with Rincon adding, “We are excited for this new chapter of US Youth Soccer and would like to thank Tom for his invaluable leadership in a time of change. His collaboration and determination helped make the vision of an alignment with U.S. Soccer a reality and are glad he will continue to play a role in the future of soccer at the Federation level.”

Prior to joining US Youth Soccer, Dragan served as Executive Director for Florida Youth Soccer Association. Before his time with FYSA, Dragan held leadership roles with both the Kansas State Youth Soccer Association (Executive Director) and Michigan State Youth Soccer Association (Director of Member Services), giving him more than 15 years of experience inside of the US Youth Soccer landscape.

“I am thrilled for the opportunity to lead the organization as Chief Executive Officer at US Youth Soccer,” said Dragan. “This is a unique moment in the history of USYS as we work more closely with U.S. Soccer. Our collaboration will make the game more accessible by removing barriers to participation.
