ST. LOUIS, Missouri (June 28, 2023) - More than 220 teams competed June 23-28 at the Midwest Regional Championships in St. Louis, Missouri. Games were played at the Lou Fusz Athletic Complex and Creve Coeur Park Soccer Complex with a trip to the National Championships on the line.

US Youth Soccer’s Midwest Region, which consists of 13 State Associations, will send 26 teams from the Regional Championships to the national competition held July 17-23 in Orlando, Florida. Multiple State Associations had teams crowned champions, with Illinois (3), Wisconsin (2), Nebraska (2), Ohio (2), Iowa (1), Indiana (1), Missouri (1), South Dakota (1), and Minnesota (1) all highlighted.

Jeff Tottleben, head coach of LFA Tottleben 05G (MO), talked about what the 2023 US Youth Soccer Midwest Regional Championship experience means to advance from regionals for a chance at the national title.

“This is such a magnificent event, and over the years you get to know all these teams pretty well and realize how many good teams are out there," Tottleben said. "So, advancing out of the Midwest regionals would be amazing to see. This is our last hoorah here, so every excited to be with them this summer playing at this caliber of an event, so excited to see what we can do!”
