FRISCO, Texas (August 25, 2025) – US Youth Soccer (USYS) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Katie Cole as the Olympic Development Program’s (ODP) new West Girls Technical Advisor.

Cole’s extensive expertise in youth talent identification and development will continue cementing ODP as the home for many of the nation’s top players. In her new role, Cole will use her scouting knowledge and long-standing experience to enhance the West region’s talent identification, coaching integration, and player progression.

“We are excited to welcome Katie back into the ODP family,” said US Youth Soccer CEO Tom Condone. “Her proven track record in talent identification, paired with her professional scouting experience, will be invaluable in advancing the future leaders of the game.”

Cole joins USYS’ development leadership with a notable portfolio of experience. She currently serves as Head of Domestic Scouting for the NWSL’s Bay FC, where she leads efforts to identify elite prospects across the development pipeline, and prior to Bay FC served as a Senior Talent Identification Manager for U.S. Soccer’s Women’s Youth National Teams, overseeing scouting and talent initiatives across the West, Central, and South regions. Cole also previously worked with the Arizona Soccer Association’s Olympic Development Program, starting as a coach in 2005 and becoming the ODP Director in 2013.

Prior to her work in professional fields, Cole was a four-year starter for the University of Texas women’s soccer team, a valuable experience in her understanding of the player journey.
